About Our Coaches
The coaches at CBC are not only cycling enthusiasts but have national certification through the American League of Bicyclists and have several years of teaching experience. This means a fun and supportive learning environment for you and your group!
Coach Lee
As an LCI (League Certified Instructor), Coach Lee has taught riding classes and instructed “Class on Wheels” 25-mile rides for Bike New York’s organized rides. She has also been a marshall for Bike New York‘s annual 5-Boro Bike Tour, a 42-mile route. Additionally, Lee has ridden a bicycle in Alaska, Canada, France, Germany, and Japan. Prior to becoming an LCI, Lee was a Motorcycle Safety Foundation-certified motorcycle instructor for 13 years and coached in several states.
Coach Lee holds a master’s degree in teaching and has more than 20 years of combined teaching experience with adults and children. Her love of being on the move and riding right — along with her desire for everyone to achieve various riding goals — motivates her teaching.
Lee understands the trepidation of learning a new skill such as bicycling. When you see her, ask Lee about her awful first exposure to bicycling and how she finally got started on two wheels!
Coach Chuck
Coach Chuck is not only an LCI (Certified League Instructor) but he leads tours in Manhattan with Bike ‘n’ Roll. He also is a marshall for Bike New York’s annual 5-Boro Bike Tour, a 42-mile ride.
When you see Coach Chuck, be sure to ask him about the number of flats he’s had this season!
Coach Jennifer
Coach Jennifer has been teaching cycling education since 2008 after receiving her League of American Bicyclists Cycling Instructor certificate. She works year round with local government agencies on bicycle safety and enjoys teaching people to be safer, more confident cyclists. Coach Jennifer is an avid year-round cyclist. She often travels around the country to participate in fundraising rides — even riding across Iowa in 2007 where she got to ride with Lance Armstrong.
Coach Jennifer holds a master’s degree education and has more than 14 years of combined teaching experience with adults and children. When you see her, be sure to ask her about getting her dream bicycle!
